I thought it was interesting that the author observed that drafts seemed to be an issue. As a kid we always had the windows opened on the car. It seems silly that they believe that drafts carry illnesses because whether the windows are open or not the germs are going to get there anyway. On nearly a daily basis I hear how far medical technology has come and how great it is. How is it that German's are getting away with cardiac collapse when everyone else in the world seems to suffer greatly from it even with medical help. Not only the circulatory collapse but with other stuff they don't use pills to relieve pain it seems and just take a day off and all is well. I would have to say that having a sauna obsession is a lot better than the tanning obsession we have among young people here in the US. There is a sauna in the NCRB locker room and there is rarely anyone who strips all the way down when going in there, for the most part people have bathing suits on, I'm not sure how it would be taken if someone unclothed entered, but it makes you wonder. But even beyond the comfort of a sauna, it seems that people over in Europe in general are more comfortable with their bodies, even on the beach, it isn't unusual to go topless or naked, where as in the US there are only specific places that topless is allowed, otherwise it is frowned upon and I believe a fine.
It would be nice to just luxurously make my way through college, but its not like that at all here having to pay through the roof per semester, there is no time to doddle, I can't imagin what it would be like to be an "eternal student." It would be a difference since college tuition is less expensive but I don't always enjoy school and to stay till about 30 yrs old doesn't interest me. From tlaking with my friends, we all are excited to start working in our career fields because that is what we want to do and while in school we are required to take classes that we don't always want to take or excell at.
