Kapitel 7 Post

I must say, after reading these articles I feel extraordinarily disillusioned with German social norms. T0 start with, the Supermakt sounds pretty hellish. I'd be alright with forking over a couple of bucks for shopping bags, but the fear of slipping from an unattended mess or being jabbed in the back of the leg by one of the employees wielding a pallet mover would consume me. Then finally getting to the checkout, and being hurried away to put my groceries in their bags and get out would be a less than perfect experience.
As for the Autobahn, I'll stick with public transit if I'm every in Deutschland. The first few minutes might be fun, then the realization that at any moment I could become the meat in a Volkswagen sandwich would propel me towards the nearest exit.
Finally, while German lines don't strike me as any worse than those in the USA, I thought maybe Deutschland would have a better handle on them - what with their love of efficiency and order. In any case, I think I might have to prepare myself both mentally and physically before any trips over there.
