Guten Abend,
Die Kultur fur Kapitel acht ist interesant. Jeden zeit ich lese die (articles) ich bin uberrascht. I refuse to believe that these stereotypes that the author is writing about can be as pervasive as he makes them sound. Germans are afraid of drafts? Really? No one likes to have cold air blowing uncomfortably on them. No one wants it to be drafty and to get sick. That article seems very overblown. I was a little confused about the illness that only Germans, get although that they are a hearty people that can survive a sickness that other people die from doesn't surprise me. All my German family are over 6'2" and seem pretty indestructible to me. It certainly is a little bit of a scary thought when I think of them that saunas are part of their favorite pass times. I suppose it is cold in Germany so it makes sense, though again I would like to see an actual percentage before saying that every German person loves saunas. Though I am sure that it is popular.
Not surprisingly the Germans seem to have a very well organized education system. I think that it is great that the Universities are so cheap, so long as they are able to fund everything that they need to. It seems like in America we tend to make education a bit pricy. I am surprised that with it being so affordable that there are so many older students. I would think that people would go just straight there, but it is nice for those that are older because even with a family to support you could probably afford to continue your education. Still even with it being a better price, when I read that there was little chance for students to be able to communicate with their professors I was glad to be going to a school in the US. I always really appreciate how willing my professors are to meet.
