Guten Abend!

Diesen (m?) Wochenende habe ich mit ein freund gesprochen. Sie wohnst (wohnt?) in Aachen. Normalerweise(r) sprechen wir ein bisschen Deutsch und mehr Englisch. Aber diesen Wochenende habe ich mehr Deutsch gesprochen. Es gefällt mir, dass ich mehr Deutsch spreche können. I like how I can understand alot more of what she says, even though to reply in German takes so much longer than it would in English. (And I usually run my sentence through in my head a few times before verifying it makes some sense using a translator- fortunately the amount of mistakes I make on material i've recently learned or material I use often has went down!) I feel it's more fair when it's more 50/50 language, and makes for some interesting conversations! One of the things I like the most though, is that as time goes on, I can understand more of what is said quickly, and there are times I can catch flaws in online translators, and phrases i've heard in the past make more and more sense! Overall, it's good progress and I look forward to the day when i'll be able to say sentences like these without having to switch to English to make it sensible.
