Doktor Allwissend

Guten Abend!

Für diese AMD habe ich ein Märchen besuchen. Ich habe "Doktor Allwissend" gelesen. Es war auf " http://www.grimmstories.com/de/grimm_maerchen/doktor_allwissend ". Das Märchen war ein bisschen zu schwer zu gut lesen aber es war auf Englisch auch. (By clicking on the little flags, it was possible to switch between the English and German versions.)

What I found ironic is that this had a much more equitable distribution of material we learned being used for it. I saw alot of narrative past (which would make sense for a fairy tail), and even the da-compounds from a previous chapter made a resurgence. It was slightly dense reading and there were a lot of words that were difficult to understand without using a dictionary, but what I found amusing was that it was easier than "Das Sams" zu lesen. Das gefällt mir nicht. I understand Sams uses alot of idioms that don't apparently translate well, but at the same time... I'll pick out a block of text that made nearly perfect sense even without understanding all the words:

" Wie ihm nun das Geld ausbezahlt wurde, saß der Doktor gerade zu Tisch; da sah der Bauer, wie er schön aß und trank, und das Herz ging ihm danach auf, und er wäre auch gern ein Doktor gewesen. "

Unlike Das Sams buch, context clues were effective enough to hazard the guess of the main character (Krebs) seeing (or lacking) Gold and wanting it, and he saw a Doctor at a table, who was eating and drinking - and in his heart he wanted what he saw, so he decided he would like to become a doctor as well..." I don't know exactly where to go with this, it was just interesting that it was easier to pick out and understand this than a Children's book.
