AMD 2 John Balle

Ich weiss ob dieses Aktivitaet angemessen (fuer ein AMD) ist oder nicht, aber ich und ein paar Freunde haben den Film "Beerfest" gesehen (auf English). Being in German, I feel as though I was able to find the German jokes more humorous than my friends because I was able to appreciate the use of the German language throughout the movie. For example, the name of the beer the people brew is called "Schnitzengiggle". My friends thought that was a typical German name, but I realized that these are just letters that make a funny sound. After having learned some German culture in German 101 and 102, I also like the humor that the Film pokes at German drinking. In the film, the Germans have a German drinking team, that trains for competition something like an olympic weight lifting team trains. The film also speaks of the "Theresienweise", the spot of Oktoberfest in Germany. It is weird how the knowledge learned in class can be applied to real life situations.
