AMD2 - Ben Oztalay

Für diese AMD, ich habe Rebeccas blog gelesen, and I skipped back to the part where she had just gotten to Germany, since I've always been interested in what transitioning to living in Germany would be like, coming from the US.

I feel like doing paperwork in German, like leases and such, would be especially daunting, aber sie hat keine Probleme mit das, weil sie hat nicht so viel über das geschrieben. Maybe it's not such a big deal after all.

I thought that one of the most interesting things she said is that studying or living abroad is like learning everything over again. Laundry is different, shopping is different, the city shuts down on Sundays, all sorts of things are different, and you have to learn and get used to all of these new customs.

She also talked about dealing with preconceived notions about Americans, and I think that encountering and dispelling stereotypes about Americans would be challenging, but it's something that everyone has to do if they find themselves in a different culture.
