Kulur Texte 9

I was surprised to find out how much work goes into an application in Germany. In America, we basically have a cover letter, a resume, and maybe a letter of recommendation or two. In Germany, it seems as though they document every minute of their life. I guess the Germans pride themselves in their accomplishments and organizational skills.
The laws regarding noise and neighbors are a lot like they are in America. It intrigued to find out that they are only allowed to barbeque once a month. I would be very angry in the summer if I could only grill steaks once a month. It was also interesting to learn that a person con throw up to four major parties every year. I wish we had a law like that in Michigan.
The German patiotism (or lack there of) is disheartening to me. World War II and the holocaust happened almost seventy years ago. While it is important to honor the memory of those who were wrongfully killed in the holocaust, they should not live in the past, like they do. Germans should show they are proud to be Germans and show it by flying more flags.
