AMD 5

For this AMD I watched a personal favorite of mine "South Park" in German.  I decided to watch an episode that I'd already seen so I could better understand.  I watched the episode "Funnybot" and the basic premise is that the Germans, after winning the award for worst sense of humor, decide to build the funniest robot ever. The Funnybot takes attention away from all the celebrities and the celebrities hold the children  hostage.  Meanwhile the Funnybot tries to blow up the rest of the world besides Germany so they can be the funniest people.  This plan doesn't work and the episode ends. The way South Park portrays German humor is very comical but some of the humor is lost because everyone speaks German instead of just the Germans and Cartman.  The German President retaliates and tries to show the world that Germans are funny by telling two jokes. The conversational German used in South Park was very understandable and included: "bitte schon", "Das tut mir Leid","Das ist peinlich", All the character voices were different except the voice of Timmy seemed the same.  I would definitely do this again because since I am already familiar with South Park it was easier to pick up on what the characters were saying.
