(dinner for one)
I thought it was very funny to read that an English speaking show is aired in only one English speaking nation and loved by a non-English speaking nation. While I lived in Germany I was never asked about the movie however, I after reading the article I now feel prepared for the question.
(trying to spend money)
Interestingly enough, Germans find that Americans work too hard. As this article shows, working over time or on the weekends is highly frowned upon. I found that after 5 most things closed even in a dense city like Berlin. The only real exception involves places for food or drinks, such as bars or restaurant.
(Fatehrs day)
I thought it was interesting that father’s day had turned into a German like version of St. Patrick’s day. I also thought it was funny that what started as a religiously backed day has turned into another excuse for a day of drinking. Nonetheless, I think it would be really funny to see it in action.
