Kapitel 10 Kultur

I found the articles pretty funny and entertaining. I didn't plan on watching 'Dinner for One' but my interest was peaked so I checked it out. I'd recommend it, certainly a different style of humour from a different time, but funny nonetheless. Father's day in Germany sounds pretty awesome, and it's really interesting to me that the US equivalent is so different. Regarding the article on German businesses closing early, I'm not sure what I would do without the 24 hour Meijer around town - through a combination of laziness and schoolwork most of my shopping gets done well after most German stores would close.

I had heard about German Christmas markets before, but what I didn't know was how much variety there was in them - some being themed for the unemployed, or the pleasure-themed one in St. Pauli.
