AMD 5 Dinner for One

I decided to watch the Dinner for One skit that we read about earlier in the week for the Kultur posts, just to see if there was anything Americans were missing out on. Turns out, there isn't. I first watched the original 1963 version in English then watched a full color one that looked to be more recent, also in English. I was surprised that on YouTube, I couldn't actually find one of the original skits with any German subtitles or voiceovers, but I did find a few live remakes that took place on German TV shows. I tried to just keep up with the scripts and conversations to test myself after familiarizing myself with the subject matter. Here's basically what I was able to follow:
"Guten Abend" and the obvious, really easy to follow exchanging of pleasantries.
"Es geht mir auch zu viel viel besser"
"Ich leibe Maronen Kräm Suppen."...? This is in reference to the first course, but it's hard to make out. something about soup.
"Ich denke, wir sollten da zu eine Sherry haben"
"Die selbe Procedure wie jedes Jahr!"
The skit is really the same in each case, but the German one does sound a bit funnier to me. But in all honesty, I can't pick up on the humor. The butler trips, gets drunk, spins around a lot... but nothing really hilarious happens. I guess it's just a goofy good time and a tradition.
