AMD 1 Ben Lemisch

For my first AMD of 102 I continued to watch Bella Martha. I my usual movie watching consists of action and comedic films, I tend to stay away from romantic comedies but I still found this movie to be quite good. The English subtitles helped me in understanding everything that happened in the movie but I noticed that about half way through the film I was reading them less and less. I was able to understand a great portion of the context of the movie based solely on the snatches of dialogue that I could understand. I enjoyed this movie more than Lola Rennt based on both the presence of the English subtitles and the content; Lola was a little to artistic for my taste. I enjoyed watching this movie and I'm glad I had the opportunity to see it in the original German context and understand much of it through this class.
